Nutrition is the key to looking fantastic, feel amazing, lose weight, more energy, wow, look how amazing Liz looks and feels doing the Herbalife Nutrition plan. She was that impressed she opened her own club “Anlaby Nutrition” with her partner Steve Battarbee in June 2022.


Anlaby Nutrition in Hull changed my life In February 2023, I received an invitation for a free “Wellness evaluation” from Lizi, I thought “what have I got to lose so I went along and met the lovely owners Lizi and Steve.  I received a nice warm welcome when I arrived, and they are both so knowledgeable. I am a busy holistic therapist, and my nutrition wasn’t the best and I used to eat a lot of convenience foods and I sometimes felt tired, and sluggish.


I was then taken through a wellness evaluation, first of all I was put on some scales that gave a full body readout.  It worked out my metabolic age, my Visceral fat, body water, Physique rating, Muscle mass, Bone mass, Body fat and my Basal metabolic rate.

I was gobsmacked by my results, my Visceral fat was high, and my calcium was low, this rang alarm bells with me.  My grandma suffered a stroke, and I had a history of heart problems in the family so that was a wakeup call for me.

While I was there, I was given a sample of pure Aloe vera water, followed by a herbal beverage and a shake of my choice.  The product they use there is Herbalife, I loved every single sample they gave me, so I decided to pay for the ten days drop in at the club. They also took body measurements and logged them on my file.

The next day when I arrived at Anlaby nutrition, Lizi worked out how many calories I should be having, how much fibre and how much Protein I should be having a day.  Steve and Lizi also helped with a food diary and discussed what foods I like and gave me a plan to take home with me. I then went straight to Aldi to get my shopping, so I had all the foods I needed to follow my nutrition plan.

I went in to Anlaby Nutrition every day to get weighed, I then drank a certain amount of Aloe water which cleanses and detox my body, followed by herbal beverage that burns off calories, gives you a boost for the day, followed by a shake of my choice which had 25 vitamins and minerals in it.  I just loved all the different flavours of the teas and the shakes and was actually enjoying my new regime. I have done Slim fast shakes years ago and they are not a patch on Herbalife.


I then booked in at Anlaby Nutrition for my ten-day review to take all my statistics again.  I was put on the scales and did the body measurements again, I was gobsmacked because I had lost 1.6 kilo’s, I lost 45 centimetres around the body and lost half a litre of Visceral fat.

I then decided to carry on and do it as a maintenance plan as I had noticed lots of benefits in that time like, better sleep, I had much more energy, my skin had improved, I was loving all the nutritious foods and had less bloating, my gums had also improved which is great because I have Gingivitis. I can honestly say I feel great and that is all thanks to Steve and Lizi.


I also loved going to the club and meeting other people, also getting lots of ideas and advice to help me to achieve my goals.  Lizi and Steve really helped me to be the best version of myself so I can highly recommend doing this.

They are based in Hull, but this nutrition programme can be done online as well as they run an online marathon.  That doesn’t mean you have to run lol, it just means you buy a full package of Aloe vera, herbal beverage and the flavour shake of your choice and there are many.  You are then sent a link and all you have to do is enter your weight each day.  When I got busy with work, I did the Marathon as it suited me, and I still do it as it keeps me balanced.

The marathon runs for 10 days then you have 4 days off then start again.  It’s a great way of keeping focused as there are 9 other people doing the marathon with you and you can share ideas on what sort of meals you’re having, and you can encourage each other to achieve your goals.

Anlaby nutrition also do a Heart scheme which is absolutely brilliant, I invited 3 friends, and they signed up for the Ten day drop in after seeing my results. When you get 3 hearts (inviting friends/family/work colleagues, you get ten free visits in the club, and when you get five people to sign up you get 30 free drop ins at the club so FREE breakfast whoop whoop, your Aloe, Herbal beverage, and your Shake.

When I bumped into people while out and about, they noticed a change in me, they said I looked young and what was my secret. Over a few months my body fat had reduced more, Metabolic age had also changed to 15 years younger than I am, and my body shape had changed so whoop whoop again lol, and I had lost a full litre and a half of Visceral fat, so job done.

Did you know that lack of hydration can result in weight gain, fatigue, migraines, constipation, muscle cramps, increased blood pressure, kidney problems and dry skin/mouth. You should ideally drink between 2 and 3 litres a day to eliminate toxins, moisten tissues and lubricate muscles and joints.

It assists in digestion and waste elimination, helps in blood circulation and aids in cellular regeneration. It keeps the body temperature in optimal state, flushes out waste from the liver and kidneys, aids the body in the absorption of nutrients and minerals and helps to speed up our metabolism.

In order to achieve a good physique rating, you should try to keep active to reduce body fat. Did you know that fat cells tend to store more calories, but muscle cells burn more calories.  Lizi and Steve helped me to reduce body fat with all their help.  I wasn’t overweight but I really needed to achieve losing the Visceral fat and feel much better in myself and I do feel amazing and just buzzing with energy.

It really is important that you have the correct number of calories as well, these dictates whether you lose, or gain weight. If you have too much Visceral fat, this can prevent organs from functioning normally and puts them under huge strain and should be taken seriously.

Some people have a carbohydrate breakfast or skip breakfast completely, neither of these are ideal for you as you it can affect your blood sugar and energy levels.  Poor nutrition choices can lead to increased health risks like Weakened Immune system, leading to more frequent infections. Weak bones, weakened muscles and poor skin tone, leading to premature aging. Becoming overweight can lead to serious health conditions.

Good nutrition can help keep health risks at bay:

Getting protein from soy, lean meats and fish is important to nourish your body and protect your muscles.

Fibre from fruits, vegetables and some whole grains is important to maintain balanced intestinal function. Healthy fish-oil fats from ocean caught fish can benefit your skin and may help to maintain a healthy heart.

Colourful fruits and vegetables provide unique plant nutrients that protect the health of the most important organs in your body.

Keys to wellness

Balance your diet – you need to get enough of the right foods including colourful fruits and vegetables, good protein, good carbohydrates, and just enough good fats for the taste you want. You may also wish to consider vitamins, minerals, and fibre from dietary supplements to provide the nutrition that may be missing from your diet.

Exercise regularly – Regular exercise helps you look and feel your best.  It conditions your heart, relieves stress, and makes it easier for you to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.

Drink plenty of water – Your body is about two-thirds water, in an average day you lose at least one pint of water even without excessive sweating.  To feel your best, you should drink 6-8 glasses of water a day, even more if you are exercising.
